Pocomoke Girls Basketball Spoils Ross’s Record

On a night belonged to Mardela’s Taylor Ross, the game would belong to Pocomoke. Ross reached a career milestone in the second quarter when a floater in the key gave her 1,000 points for her career. But her efforts weren’t enough as a balanced attack by Pocomoke led them to a 54-33.
Pocomoke would jump out to a quick lead as Tymera Deshields connected on back to back long balls to open the game, and had 4 threes in the game. Mardela would then try and battle back, led by Ross who found her shooting touch. After a slow start, Dynaisha Christian would find a groove in the second quarter and start to control the paint. Pocomoke took a 34-16 lead into halftime, and would roll from there for the win.
Pocomoke returns to the court Thursday when they host Wi-Hi, while Mardela host Crisfield on Thursday.
