Milford traffic stop leads to drug charges for two people

Two men are facing drug charges, after police say they found a handgun and drugs in a vehicle, during a traffic stop, in Milford.
The Milford Police Department says on Friday, around 8:12 AM, a officer noticed a Honda Accord, in the 200 block of North Rehoboth Boulevard, being driven with an expired registration, in Milford. After pulling over, the vehicle, police say the officer reportedly determined that 25-year-old Nicholis Jackson, of Lincoln, and 26-year-old Anthony Taylor, of Magnolia, were both wanted by several Delaware courts. Authorities report that Taylor initially gave a officers a fake name. Both Jackson and Taylor were arrested.
According to the report, a search of the vehicle revealed a .380 handgun, drug paraphernalia, and suspected cocaine.
Jackson was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by person prohibited, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, driving while suspended, expired tags, no valid insurance in possession, unregistered motor vehicle, and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $30,001 secured. Taylor was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by person prohibited, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, criminal impersonation, and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $26,001 secured.
Both were turned over to the Delaware Department of Correction at the Sussex Correctional Institution. Preliminary hearings are are scheduled for Jackson and Taylor on October 13 at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas.
