Local realtor opening CoWork Reho, creating co-working space for Rehoboth professionals
REHOBOTH, Del.- A realtor recently purchased commercial space on North Boardwalk to create into a communal-office space for locals.
Jared Bowers is opening CoWork Reho to create about 24 private offices, with about 70 communal spaces, for local professionals.
Bowers said he’s always liked the idea of a co-working space, so when the building came up for auction he knew he had to put in a bid.
He added these spaces are in high demand right now.
Bowers hopes that this space will bring people together and give them a place to work during the pandemic.
“People are just going to have somewhere to go, you know to kind of bond and network , and just work together,” Bowers said. “It’s tough people are cramped up, everybody’s at home, by themselves, a lot of people are dying to get back into an office.”
Bowers said the lease is for a year long.
He’s hoping to have the place open by Memorial Day weekend with a restaurant and barbershop in the space.
There will be safety measures in place when the building opens.
