Mardela Girls Basketball Bounce Back Vs. Crisfield

The Mardela girls basketball team earned a bounce back win Thursday night when they defeated Crisfield 64-27. The win improves the Warriors to 2-1 on the year, while the loss drops the Crabbers to 1-3

Mardela would jump out to a quick lead thanks to transition buckets from Taylor Ross and Aerionna Joynes. The duo would both have their shooting touch in the first half as they would quickly watch their lead swell to double digits. Crisfield would finally settle in offensively as Arielle Johnston would connect on a couple jumper from the outside, as well as drop off a couple assists to Evyan Potter and Crystal Merritt. But the Warriors would take a huge lead into halftime and didn’t let up in the second half. Joynes would finish with a game high 24 points while Ross would add 16 points and 6 assists in the win.  

Mardela returns to work Tuesday when they host Snow Hill, while Crisfield faces off against WiHi Monday.
