Man kicked by police officer subject of 4 warrants

(AP) – A man seen on a police dashboard camera video being kicked in the head by Delaware officer who was acquitted of assault this week is currently the subject of four arrest warrants.

Authorities confirmed Friday that the Lateef Dickerson is the subject of warrants by Middletown police for separate burglaries on Sept. 16 and 17, and for failure to re-register as a sex offender after changing addresses.

The attorney general’s office says Dickerson also is the subject of a Kent County court warrant for violation of probation.

A Kent County jury on Tuesday acquitted Dover police Cpl. Thomas Webster IV of assault stemming from an August 2013 encounter with Dickerson, who reportedly was armed with a gun and was slow to comply with repeated commands to get on the ground.
