Information sought in Onancock shooting investigation

Police in Onancock are looking for information, after two people were reportedly shot over the weekend.

The Onancock Police Department says on Saturday just after 10:10 PM, Officers responded to the area of Pine Street and Watson Street for reports of gunshots. Once on scene, Officers say they found two men that both had gunshot wounds to the leg.

According to the report, the two men were outside, when a silver vehicle drove by, and fired multiple gunshots at the pair. Officials say both men were taken to RiversideShore Memorial Hospital, by Onancock Rescue and Onley Rescue.

The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office and the Onley Police Department assisted in this investigation. Police say they are now asking anyone with information about this incident to contact them at 757-787-8577.
