Former Md. Senate President passes away

MARYLAND – 47 ABC has learned that former Maryland Senate President Emeritus Thomas V. Mike Miller Jr. has passed away.

We’re told the 78-year-old passed away peacefully at his home at around 4:25 p.m. Friday. He was surrounded by loved ones.

Miller was in office from 1987 to 2020, making him the longest-serving Senate president in Maryland’s history.
