Monday Memo – October 2, 2017

MONDAY MEMO
      TO:  ALL STAFF
FROM:  KATHLEEN
  DATE:  2 OCTOBER 2017

THE NEW LIVE TRUCK IS ALL WRAPPED UP!

Thursday morning, we accepted delivery of our live truck with its specially designed wrap.  The design and creative work was done by our Digital Team of Greg LaFrance, Phil Comeaux and Leanne Guyette.  Phil, shown here with the vehicle, took the lead with lots of input from Greg and Leanne.  I saw the truck on the streets of Salisbury almost immediately and, I must say, it really stands out!  Congratulations, Digital Team, y’all did a great job!

STATION VISITOR:  News Consultant/Coach Nick Dalley will be in the Station to work with our News Team.  He will be using the Conference Room all day Wednesday and Thursday so the Conference Room will not be available those two days.

CONGRATULATIONS TO TERRI MAHONEY, winner of the $25 Starbucks gift card.

STATION FREEBIE:

This week’s Station Freebie is a white McDonald’s travel mug.  Since we have a pair of mugs, we will have a pair of winners.  If you would like to sign up for your chance to win one of these travel mugs, the sheet in on the downstairs bulletin board across from the time clock.  Per usual procedure, the winner will be drawn Friday morning and announced in the next Monday Memo.

•    Today is your final chance to sign up for the free flu shots which have been scheduled for 8AM and 3PM on Thursday, 5 October.  The signup sheet is posted across from the time clock.  Because the Conference Room is scheduled for use by the News Consultant that day, the shots will be administered in Elaine’s old office.  See the signup sheet for additional details.

UNITED WE WIN!

The United Way Annual Fund Drive is under way and we will have payroll deduction forms available for employees later this week.  A small payroll deduction of $5, when combined with donations from many others, can make a huge difference.  Most importantly, 100% of contributions stay local and donors have the benefit of a team of local United Way Volunteers who ensure their contribution is making a measurable difference in someone’s life.  United Way Health programs provide therapy, prescription assistance, hospice, meals on wheels, transportation and counseling programs.  Their Financial Stability programs provide emergency and transitional housing, food, job training and counseling.  The Educational programs assist with kindergarten readiness, after school, mentoring and leadership programs.  Please give this charity your consideration.
