Wor-Wic Community College President explains what students can expect in this upcoming Spring Semester
SALISBURY, Md.- Wor-Wic Community College said their students can expect to see some small changes in the Spring Semester.
Most notably, they’re going to be eliminating spring break.
On top of that change, they’re also going to be delaying the start of the spring semester by one week.
They hope that delay will give students more time to see if they want to register for classes.
President of Wor-Wic, Dr. Hoy, adds that when it comes to classes things will be the same.
They will continue to offer hybrid, online, and in -person learning.
We are told although this is their plan things could change at any moment.
It all depends on how the pandemic plays out.
“Now, all of our faculty and students know that we may have to pivot to total online instruction, but that’s not the intent,” Dr. Hoy said.
“We are much better engaged we understand what the requirements are and we are much more prepared of the eventuality if it happens,” Dr. Hoy added.
Dr. Hoy said that they did a survey recently asking students how they would like the Spring Semester to go.
He said the numbers reflected their survey numbers from the Summer, with around 55 percent of students saying they would like some kind of on campus presence, and around 33 saying they didn’t want to come on campus at all.
