UPDATE: Suspect charged in second Cambridge armed robbery investigation

Debreon Cephas, 20, of Cambridge, Md.

Police in Cambridge say a man charged for a robbery earlier in January, is now facing additional charges.

Cambridge Police say back on December 30, two men walked into the Corner Market on Cambridge Beltway. According to the report, one of the men was armed, and assaulted the clerk, before taking an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, and running from the store. The clerk was apparently not seriously injured during the incident.

On January 12, Police say their investigation led them to charged 20-year-old Debreon Cephas, of Cambridge, for the incident. Cephas was charged with armed robbery, first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment, handgun on person, and firearm use/felony violent crime.

He was served a warrant on the charges at the Dorchester County Detention Center, where he was being held on similar charges related to the robbery of the Cambridge Mart on Race Street, on January 8. His bond had apparently been increased to $750,000.
