Dorchester Co. teacher recognized for dedication to teaching

VIENNA, Md. – A Dorchester County PE teacher is being recognized for her dedication to teaching.

Congratulations are in order for Shanna Hubbard, a PE teacher at Vienna Elementary School for being the recipient of a 2020 Simon McNeely Award. We’re told she was the only 2020 recipient from the Eastern Shore. The award is presented by the Maryland Society of Health and Physical Educators and goes to a PE or health teacher “who demonstrates excellence and innovation in teaching and service.”
