Seahawks Top Pocomoke, Tie For Conference Lead

The Stephen Decatur boys basketball team earned their revenge Tuesday night when they defeated Pocomoke 68-47. The win improves the Seahawks to 11-1, while Pocomoke falls to 11-1.

The teams were in a battle early on before the Seahawks would go on a huge run in the 3rd quarter. A Keva Aluma baseline jam would spark the energy of the home team, as they would go on to build a double digit lead going into halftime. The Warriors would come out running in the second half and string together a couple buckets from Tyrone Matthews and Tyler Nixon to get within 8. But once the game was close, Torrey Brittingham would take over. The senior dished out assist after assist as the lead would swell to over 20. The Seahawks were aided by a big night from Keyon Eley who finished with a game high 20 points.

Pocomoke returns to work Thursday when they host Delmar, while Decatur travels to Crisfield on Thursday.
