Woodbridge tops Laurel for conference win

The Woodbridge girls basketball team picked up a road win Wednesday night as they topped Laurel 61-50. The Blue Raiders improve to 8-4, while the Bulldogs are standing at 6-5.
The teams were in a battle early on, tied at 12 after one. Woodbridge would grab a small lead going into the half led by Altia Anderson who would score 14 of her 28 points in the first half. Woodbridge would then build a big lead going to the 4th as they outscored the Bulldogs 23-12 in the 3rd quarter.
Logan Handy did all she could for Laurel as the freshman scored a game 33 point but it wasn’t enough as Woodbrigde was able to close it out for the night.
Woodbridge gets back to work Friday as they host Milford, while Laurel has some time off, they aren’t back to work until Monday as they host Delmarva Christian.
