UPDATE: Harry Jones back in court, all defense motions denied

The man accused of holding a woman captive and sexually abusing her appeared in Circuit Court Thursday for a criminal motions hearing a judge denied them all.

Jones’ attorney asked the court to suppress statements he made during his interrogation process. The attorney argued that Jones did not receive his Miranda rights properly when he was arrested and even during the interrogation process that he did not waive his rights to an attorney.

Jones’ attorney also filed a motion saying Jones was in an improper holding cell and received neither a reason for his arrest nor food and water until the interrogation 12 hours later.

The judge ruled against Jones, meaning all evidence is admissible for his trial set for February 8th.
