Coronavirus cases across the shore: November 5, 2020

DELMARVA – Here is the latest on COVID-19 across the Eastern Shore.

Maryland added nearly 1,200 cases overnight, bringing the state’s total to 149,964. The state’s positivity rate has also jumped to 4.21%, up from 4.1% the previous day. Wicomico County is up to 2,628 cases with a positivity rate of 4.07%, while Worcester County sits at 1,258 total cases with a positivity rate of 3.47%.

Meanwhile, Delaware is up to 25,753 confirmed cases statewide, with a positivity rate of 11.8%, up from 10.9% the previous day. Sussex County now has 8,342 confirmed cases with a positivity rate of 9.6%, down nearly 7% from the previous day’s positivity rate of 16.4%.

Virginia is up to 172,418 confirmed cases statewide. Accomack County sits at 1,236 confirmed cases.
