UPDATE: Selbyville house fire causes $1 million+ in damages

A home is left severely damaged, after a fire broke out in Selbyville, late Monday morning.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office says the fire was reported at 11:55 AM, at a two story home on Bayberry Lane.

Officials say Roxana Vol. Fire Company, arrived on scene, to find heavy fire within the house. Firefighters from Roxana, along with the Bethany Beach, Ocean City, Millville, and Selbyville Vol. Fire Companies worked to put out the flames. 

One person was apparently at the home when the blaze broke out, but refused treatment for a minor injury.

Investigators say they are working to figure out where the fire started, and just what caused it. The investigation reportedly continues.

Damages are estimated at $1,100,000.
