One arrested in drug investigation in Cambridge

A Cambridge man is facing charges, after Police say they found marijuana in his home.
The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office says on Tuesday, the Dorchester County Narcotic Task Force searched a Maryland Avenue home, where they arrested 30-year-old Meszaron Lati Wimer. During their search, Officials say they found marijuana, digital scales, numerous heat sealed bags with marijuana residue inside, and about $450 in cash.
After his arrest, Wimer was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance. He was later released, pending action by the District Court.
The Dorchester County Narcotics Task Force is made up of members from the Maryland State Police, Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office, Dorchester County State’s Attorney’s Office, along with the Cambridge and Hurlock Police Departments. The Maryland State Police Gang Enforcement Unit East, and the Department of Homeland Security also apparently assisted in the investigation.
