SU Earns Crucial CAC Win Vs. UMW

The Salisbury University men’s basketball team picked up a big conference win Saturday when they defeated University of Mary Washington 76-68. The win improves the Sea Gulls to 16-5 on the year.

The Sea Gulls opened the game hot from the floor and would cap off a great first half with a half court buzzer beating shot from Adrien Straughn. The Eagles would go on a run in the second half though and eventually fight back to take a lead late. SU then was able to compose themselves, and execute down the stretch. Rocky Harris connected on two 3’s and a floater in the the games final 6 minutes, while Gordon Jeter would have a huge and one lay in to push the lead to double digits. The Sea Gulls would close it out from there for the win.

Salisbury University returns to work on Wednesday when they host Wesley.
