Worcester County unveils new logo, now known as ‘Maryland’s Coast’
WORCESTER COUNTY, Md. – It’s out with the old and in with the new. That’s because on Wednesday, Worcester County officials unveiled its new brand and logo to help represent the area. Worcester County will now be officially known as Maryland’s Coast. County officials had been working on coming up with a new brand for the past six months, getting input from the community and business leaders. They say the new logo is designed to strengthen Worcester County’s reputation as a prime destination for new businesses, families, amateur sports events and tourists.
“I think it’s been a long time coming, and even some of our commissioners were thrilled to hear that we went through this process. Playing on the many assets that we have throughout the county, not only from a visitation standpoint, but from an economic development driver as well as a recreational driver, and it really showcases what a beautiful place it is to live work and play,” said Director of Tourism, Melanie Pursel.
