City of Salisbury looks to boost image with new branding

February 17, 2016
Site staff,

A part of changing a brand is changing design and the city of Salisbury is now following up plans for a renaissance with a new image campaign.

Mayor Jake Day tells us that we can expect to see these images across the city in early July. Included in the campaign new logos for areas such as the Downtown and the airport.

An updated city seal design and art highlighting the city’s place on the peninsula. We’re told the campaign, which was fully funded through a state grant, also includes branding statements talking about the city’s diversity and cultural identity. “We’re saying it belongs to everybody. This is not something we’re going to be so protective of that you need permission from our lawyers to use it, but rather, we want you to use it. We want you to say, we embrace Salisbury’s identity.” said Mayor Jake Day.

We’re told the entire branding packet with resources for city residents and business owners should be available for download within the next couple weeks.
