Milford woman facing endangerment charges after an alleged assault

A woman is facing assault and endangerment charges, after police say she struck another person while two children were present inside a home, in Milford.

The Milford Police Department says on Friday, around 11:14 PM, officers responded to a home in the 200 block of Southeast 2nd Street for a reported altercation. Once on scene, police learned that following an argument, 29-year-old Savannah Haney, of Milford, hit the victim multiple times causing minor injuries. Police say there were two children in the home at at the time of the incident.

According to Milford PD, Haney was arrested and charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and assault third  degree. Authorities say that Haney's bail was set at $750 unsecured, and she was issued a no contact order with the victims.

Haney is scheduled to appear at the Sussex County Family Court on September 18 for arraignment.
