MSP search for missing 13-year-old

Troopers from the Maryland State Police Salisbury barrack say they are searching for Jayla Morton, 13, of Salisbury.
Troopers say they responded to a call for a runaway juvenile on February 17, a day after Jayla was apparently last seen by her mother before going to school.
Morton is described as about 4’9″, weighing 90 lbs., with hazel eyes and shoulder length dread locks that are a sandy brown.
According to State Police, Jayla Morton is believed to have left her residence between 3:30 PM and 5:00 P.M. on February 17. Investigators say information gathered from Bennett Middle School indicates Morton had not been in attendance since February 9.
Troopers say Morton has a history of running away from home, a most recent instance was reportedly in December right before Christmas.
She has reportedly been seen in the area of Prince Street and College Ave., as well as in the area of the Fair Ground Drive Apartments off of Parsons Rd.
