Queen Anne’s Tops Wi-Hi in Playoff OT, Advance to Regional Title

Queen Anne’s hosted Wi-Hi in playoff action Wednesday night with with the Lions winning it in an overtime thriller  67-66. 

This game was action packed from the get-go with Wi-hi scoring immediately after tip off, and Queen Anne’s returning the favor with a 3-pointer. Things never settled down in the match up.

The Lions were up 11-9 after the first quarter, but as the boys went into the locker room at half time it was Wi-Hi up 23-22. The Indians giving the Lions all they’ve got and giving them a huge lead as they went into the fourth quarter, as they were up 43-37. It was all tied up as the clock ran down 57 all and this match up went into overtime. 

Wi-Hi looked as if they could win this game being ahead 66-65 with 28 seconds left in overtime, but the Lions roared through and won it. 

Queen Anne’s will now advance to the Regional Championship as the top seed and host Harford Tech on Friday.
