Indian River Fire Prevention Committee surprises 6-year-old boy

DELAWARE – A few members of the Indian River’s Fire Prevention Committee made a 6-year-old boy’s wishes come true on Saturday.

We’re told Joshua has always wanted to have a real firefighter helmet and to see a fire truck, so the committee decided to surprise him at home, bringing a fire truck and presenting him with a certificate making him a special member of the volunteer fire company. The committee also gave him a t-shirt and fire prevention bag with coloring books, crayons, and fold up fire trucks.
