PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Today is the last day for artists to submit their work for an online exhibition that celebrates free speech and Black activism.

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore’s Mosely Gallery has invited people to submit artwork made in response to the wave of protests surrounding the Black Lives Matter movement.

The exhibition will go on from September 28th until November 2nd.

Artists can submit up to two works and there is no submission fee and then the artwork will be selected by a juror.

According to the Gallery Director Susan Holt, the exhibition is a way for people to use their First Amendment rights.

“These are very difficult times, but I think it’s really important that we realize how important it is to exercise these rights and value them,” said Holt.
