Brandywine Valley SPCA celebrates money raised during virtual 5K

GEORGETOWN, Del. – A Delaware non-profit is celebrating the money they raised after their first-ever virtual 5K.

On Thursday, the Brandywine Valley SPCA celebrated raising $1,000 for their shelter and thanked the nearly 100 participants for their help with the fundraiser. They say in the past, the event drew over 350 participants, with an after-party in Dewey Beach to celebrate and acknowledge participants and devoted sponsors. But this year they were just happy for the support they received during this unprecedented time.
