SunFest Celebrates it’s 42nd Year in Ocean City

SunFest is back in Ocean City and folks are traveling from all over to enjoy it. This event is rated as Ocean City’s most popular festival and #1 of the 100 Best Classic & Contemporary Craft Shows in the country.
This is the 42nd year SunFest has hit the shore and by the looks of it on Saturday, it made for a great day to hang out with family and friends. There was a ton of food and entertainment from local vendors with their very own wine, kettle corn, homemade jerky and an Eastern Shore favorite; oyster fritter sandwiches.
47 ABC was told that these fritters only come out once a year, for SunFest and all their proceeds go to local firefighters.
“The ladies started it as a fundraiser to help the men and support them and now it’s to support the men with whatever they need,” said Laura Anderson, the owner. “I love sun fest its been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I used to be part of the entertainment, my dad and I had a band and we played every years. So, now I cook every year.”
The festival’s last day is Sunday. If you haven’t had the chance to make it out we recommend you check it out and make sure to wear comfy shoes. Festival activities are held in the Inlet Lot at the south end of Ocean City’s famous Boardwalk
