Police: Woman chases man, fires multiple shots at him following domestic incident
DOVER, Del. – Dover Police say they arrested a woman on numerous charges following a domestic related incident Saturday morning.
At around 11:15 a.m., officers responded to the parking lot of Queen’s Manor for a report of a woman chasing a male victim in the parking lot while carrying a firearm. Officers were able to locate the pair in the DART Bus Transit Station at Queen Street and Water Street.
After several commands being given by police, the woman, identified as 36-year-old Tiffany Burkett, dropped her weapon and was taken into custody. It was learned through further investigation that Burkett had chased the victim from New Street and fired three shots at him over a domestic related incident.
Burkett was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by person prohibited, first degree reckless endangering, resisting arrest, and receiving a stolen firearm. She was held at the Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on a $34,000 secured bond.
