Kindness Rocks come to Ocean City

What started as a simple act of kindness has become a nationwide movement. Across the country folks are brightening up strangers days using one colorful object, a painted rock.
It started with a life coach from Massachusetts and is now sweeping across Delmarva.
It's a movement called 'kindness rocks'.
This nationwide craze has certainly been rocking the internet, and Ocean City is just one town to join the trend.
"The idea is to paint or draw on a rock and you leave it or hide it, and someone else finds it, and they can either take it with them if it makes them feel good, or they can replace it in a different area and someone else finds it," says Debbi Dean-Colley, from the Art League of Ocean City.
We're told the rocks are meant to promote messages of peace and kindness and serve as a pick-me-up to anyone that stumbles upon them.
Members of the league brought the project locally to bring families together.
If you haven't had a chance to paint your own kindness rocks just yet, the art league wants to help. They are hosting a family art event on September 30th from 10AM-12PM.
