One dead, another injured in early morning crash in Caroline Co.
CAROLINE CO., Md. – Maryland State Police are investigating a single vehicle crash that killed one and injured another early Tuesday morning.
We’re told the accident happened shortly after 3:30 a.m., on westbound Route 328/New Bridge Road, west of Fisher Road. Troopers arrived on scene to find a vehicle overturned and on its left side up against a telephone pole.
31-year-old Rebecca Garner of Denton was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body has been taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.
The passenger of the vehicle, identified as 32-year-old Donald Lord of Denton, was taken by medevac to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center.
The cause and contributing factors of the crash remain under investigation.
