“Artists Paint OC” event kicks off

On Wednesday, artists made their way to Ocean City with canvases and paint brushes in hand to paint scenery throughout the town.
This was all part of the 12th annual *Artists paint OC* plein air event. This event attracts dozens of regional artists as well as spectators. Artists will be competing for more than 2-thousand dollars worth of cash prizes.
47 ABC caught up with an artist from Ocean Pines who was getting their inspiration from the bay side.
"My view, was this view in back of us. I love painting marshes, I just found them tranquil, and inspiring," says Rebekah Simonds, an artist from Ocean Pines.
The event will continue throughout the weekend. The public is invited to view and collect the art during the Wet Paint Sale at the Ocean City Center for the Arts on Saturday.
