Salisbury officially rejects changes to fire station’s request for territory

Station One

The City of Salisbury officially rejected any consideration of changes to boundaries that the Salisbury Fire Department’s Station 1 covers. That's in response to the recently formed Station 13's search for territory, after they split from the city.

County Executive Bob Culver had discussed giving them territory, however it directly conflicts with the fire service agreement signed by both the County and City.

Mayor Jake Day tells 47 ABC the meeting on Monday, "affirmed the already approved fire service agreement." The current agreement was signed on April 7, approved by the Salisbury City Council on April 24 and then by the Wicomico County Council on May 16.
