Fire causes $1.5 million in damages to St. Michaels home

ST. MICHAELS, Md. – Officials say a St. Michaels home was heavily damaged by a fire Monday night.

According to officials, the blaze was reported on Dawson Road at around 11:15 p.m. A total of 90 firefighters responded to the two-alarm fire, which we’re told took three hours to control.

Fire investigators say the fire started on the roof of the home, but the cause has not been determined at this time. Total damage has been estimated at $1.5 million. Two firefighters were taken to the hospital by ambulance for evaluation.
