Dover Hosts National Night Out
Several police agencies across Delmarva hosted meet and greets on Tuesday. The events were part of a nationwide campaign called *National Night Out*.
In Dover – several agencies including the fire department — local police and even state police took over the Dover Target parking lot Tuesday night have an evening of fun with the people they serve.
Organizers say they were expecting a good turn out because of the weather — while residents say the event is a great idea.
"So the weather looks great today. We anticipate anywhere from 1-2 thousand people. We've seen as many as 3,000 people on a really good weather day."
"I think its a really good thing. The teenagers today are in.alot of trouble and with the law enforcement fire department and police …i think its a good thing."
National Night Out has been taking place all over the country since 1984.
