86-Year-Old identified in fatal Rehoboth Beach crash

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – The 86-year-old woman killed in a crash in Rehoboth Beach on Friday has been identified as Joan D. Erieg.

Police say on Friday around 6:10 p.m., Erieg was driving behind a Lexus on Old Landing Road.When the Lexus slowed down, police say Erieg rear-ended the vehicle, causing her car to veer off the road and hit a pole.

Erieg was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the Lexus was not injured.
