Officials say no one was hurt in a Rehoboth Beach hotel fire

Just before midnight on July 30, 2017, Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company responded to a fire at the Atlantic Sands Hotel.
Originally, the fire was reported in the basement kitchen,but was found in a dryer and was extinguished by the sprinkler system.
Rehoboth Beach Firefighters, Rehoboth Beach Police and Atlantic Sands Security evacuated the hotel of all guests.
Rehoboth Beach Firefighters were assisted by the Lewes Fire Department, the Bethany Beach Fire Company, Rehoboth Beach Police and Sussex County EMS.
Firefighters remained on the scene for a couple of hours removing smoke as well as water from the sprinklers, in the building.
No injuries were reported.
