Salisbury man facing assault charges
A Wicomico County man is facing charges, after authorities say he assaulted a woman and refused to identify himself, in Salisbury.
The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says that on Saturday they responded to a home, in the 900 block of Booth Street, for reports of an altercation just before 11:00 PM. Once on scene, deputies say a woman reported that she had been assaulted by a man. Authorities say that they noticed the victims injuries which supported her report of an assault.
According to the report, the man refused to identify himself to the deputy, when the deputy attempted to question him about this incident. Authorities were able to later identify the man as 35-year-old Daris Nichols, of Salisbury.
Nichols was arrested and charged with assault second degree and obstruct and hinder. He was later turned over to the Wicomico County Detention Center on a $2,000 bond.
