Man suffers life threatening injuries after boat fall in Ocean City

Police say that a Berlin man suffered life threatening injuries early on Monday morning after he jumped from an anchored boat near the Ocean City inlet.
According to Maryland Natural Resources Police, 30-year-old Richard Tesar was flown to University of Maryland Shock Trauma for treatment.
The 911 call came into officers shortly after 1:00 a.m. Tesar was reportedly aboard a 22-foot boat with six other people when he decided to jump off. He then lost his footing, fell and suffered a severe neck injury.
First responders from the Ocean City Fire Department stabilized Tesar and transferred him to a Coast Guard boat.
Maryland Natural Resources Police is continuing their investigation.
