UPDATE: Four injured in Dagsboro crash

DAGSBORO, Del. – Delaware State Police are continuing to investigate a serious crash involving three vehicles that happened Wednesday morning in Dagsboro.

According to police, at around 8 a.m. a 2019 Kia Forte was traveling northbound on Dupont Boulevard in the left lane, approaching the intersection with Swamp Road. A 2014 Kia Sorento was traveling eastbound on Swamp Road crossing the northbound lanes of Dupont Boulevard, while a 2010 Nissan Cube was westbound stopped at a posted stop sign on Swamp Road at the intersection of Dupont Boulevard.

Police say the driver of the Sorento crossed the northbound lanes of Dupont Boulevard and was hit on the right side by the Forte. After the impact, the Sorento overturned, and the Forte then hit the Nissan.

The driver of the Forte, a 27-year-old Gwynn Oak, MD man, was not properly restrained. He was taken to Christiana Hospital with serious injuries. A female passenger in the car was properly restrained and was taken to Beebe Medical Center with serious injuries.

The driver of the Sorento, a 62-year-old Frankford woman, was properly restrained. She was taken to Christiana Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Nissan, a 48-year-old Dagsboro woman, was properly restrained and was taken to Beebe Medical Center with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
