41 new COVID-19 cases, 2 new deaths in Del.

SMYRNA, Del. – The Delaware Division of Public Health says there are two new deaths related to the coronavirus in the state.

According to officials, the most recent deaths involve one New Castle County resident and one Sussex County resident, ranging in age from 36 to 72. We’re told that both individuals had underlying health conditions, and one was a resident of a long-term care facility. To date, 426 Delawareans have died from complications of the virus.

There are also 41 new cases in the state, bringing the total number of cases to 10,444. Sussex County has seen 4,429 cases, while New Castle has seen 4,422, and Kent has seen 1,579. 83 individuals are currently hospitalized, 13 of whom are critically ill.

A total of 6,305 Delawareans have made a full recovery.
