Del. health officials: 63 new COVID-19 cases, 1 new death
SMYRNA, Del. – The Delaware Division of Public Health is announcing one new death as a result of the coronavirus in the state.
We’re told the 80-year-old Kent County woman was a long-term care resident who had underlying health conditions.
In addition, officials say there are 63 new cases in the state, bringing the total number of cases to 10,403. Sussex County has seen the most cases with 4,428, while Kent County has seen 1,573, and New Castle has seen 4,386. At this time, 87 individuals are hospitalized, 15 of whom are critically ill.
A total of 6,256 Delawareans have made a full recovery from the virus.
