Police: woman fires shots towards juvenile riding three wheeler in nearby field
HARRINGTON, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested a Harrington woman on Sunday after she reportedly fired shots in the direction of a 12-year-old.
According to police, the incident happened at around 4:30 p.m., in the 700 block of Messicks Road. It was learned that a 12-year-old juvenile was riding his three wheeler in a field when a nearby resident, 55-year-old Jeanne Zebley, walked out of her home holding a rifle and pointed it in the direction of the victim while firing at least two rounds.
The victim went home and notified his stepfather, who then responded to Zebley’s residence and was confronted by Zebley who was still holding the rifle. She then allegedly pointed the weapon at the stepfather and pulled the trigger, however no round was discharged.
Neither the child or stepfather sustained injury as a result of the incident.
