City of Crisfield appoints next Chief of Police
CRISFIELD, Md. – The Mayor and City Council of Crisfield has announced the appointment of David Dalfonso as Crisfield’s new Chief of Police.
We’re told Dalfonso began his employment with the city on June 3rd. He fills the role vacated by Michael Tabor, who retired in January 2020.
Dalfonso brings nearly 29 years of law enforcement experience to the city and has worked for the Salisbury City Police Department as well as the Maryland State Police. Most recently, Dalfonso served as a Lieutenant for the Salisbury University Police Department.
“I believe this city to be a hidden gem to be honest, and I’m really excited, I have a lot of ideas, and I’m excited to make this something the citizens of Crisfield can be really proud of. Crisfield has specific issues and I plan on addressing them immediately, I think you are going to see some good things,” Dalfonso commented.
