Authorities on scene for multiple brush fires in Fruitland; Route13 closed

Authorities are on scene after brush fires caused by a passing train resulted in a road closure in Wicomico County.

47ABC's Taylor Lumpkin reports that on Wednesday, around 2:30 PM, a train passed causing sparks from warm tracks to ignite multiple brush fires, in Fruitland. Multiple fire companies are on scene assisting the Fruitland Fire Department. 

Route 13, in the area of Crown Center to Main Street, was closed as a result of the incident.

As of 3:10 PM, 47ABC's Brandon Bossert says the brush fire is contained.
