SPCA Shelter Officials Struggle to Find New Homes for Animals

SPCA officials are struggling to find homes for nealry 100 displaced animals following a fiery crash that claimed the life of a 33 year old woman on Sunday. 

Latoya Cooper crashed into the Brandwine SPCA on Sunday. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but now shelter officials are struggling to find homes for almost 100 cats and dogs. 

Two of the animals are placed at a Petsmart in Dover and the remaining animals are being kept in kennels for now. 

Georgetown SPCA officials are asking potential pet parents to come forward and adopt the animals they have onsite at their facility to make room for the animals displaced by the crash. 

Officials are also hoping to get donations to help with efforts to repair the damaged facility in Brandywine.
