Farm to Friends to support farmers and feed those in need
EASTON, Md. – A local business in Talbot County is stepping up to the plate to help feed families in need while also helping out farmers during the pandemic.
The business Eat Sprout recently launched a program called Farm to Friends.
The program gives people a chance to buy a 5 dollar sticker from Eat Sprout and then the proceeds from that purchase will go directly towards buying fresh produce from farmers. From there the produce will be donated to families in need.
We’re told community efforts like this will help to get everyone through the pandemic together.
“We’re all going to get through it together,” said Ryan Groll, owner of Eat Sprout.
“I think the biggest part that we can do if we’re going to look at this as a positive outcome is that it’s going to strengthen the relationships between the community members and through different businesses and partners and organizations and farmers,” said Groll.
If you’re interested in purchasing these five dollar stickers, you can head on over to the Facebook page Eat Sprout.
