80 new COVID-19 cases, 5 new deaths in Del.
SMYRNA, Del. – The Delaware Division of Public Health says there are an additional 80 new cases of coronavirus in the state.
Five additional Delawareans have died as a result of the virus, four of whom reportedly had underlying health conditions. We’re told that three were New Castle County residents, and two were Sussex County residents.
As of 6 p.m. Sunday, Delaware had a total of 5,288 cases. 2,497 of those are in Sussex County, 833 in Kent, and 1,934 in New Castle. At this time, 281 individuals are hospitalized, 68 of whom are critically ill.
1,716 Delawareans have made a full recovery from the virus.
