UPDATE: Search for missing Dover airman called off

New details are emerging surrounding last month’s disappearances of Senior Airman Keifer Huhman.

According to the Facebook page Bring Keifer Home, Huhman’s father posted a message saying the search for his son has been called off. The post indicates based on all the evidence collected this past month they believe Huhman fell off the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal Bridge. Therefore declaring him deceased as of Wednesday morning.

In past reports Delaware State Police said, Huhman was last seen the evening of February 7th leaving his Dover apartment in a blue 1997 Ford Ranger. After an air search DSP learned the truck was towed from the shoulder of the C&D Canal later that night.

The Facbook messages also asks everyone in the surrounding area within the C&D Canal to keep a lookout in and around the water ways.

A memorial service for Huhman will reportedly be held at the Dover Air Force Base, that time and date have not yet been determined. In addition, there will also reportedly be a funeral service in Pensacola, Florida during the week of March 14th. Reports say, Huhman’s burial will be at the Barrancas National Cemetery at Naval base in Pensacola.
