One arrested after woman awakes to find burglar standing over her

A Worcester County woman was shocked when she woke up in her home on Friday, to find someone standing over her.
The Worcester County Sheriff’s Office says on March 4 around 5:05 AM, Sheriff’s Deputies and Maryland State Troopers responded to a home on Gum Point Road, in Berlin, for reports of a burglary in progress. The caller said that she had woken up to find a woman standing over her bed, while she was asleep.
When the woman woke up, the suspect apparently ran from the home. State Troopers say they used a K9 to track the suspect, and found 48-year-old Kimberlee Ann Swartz, of Ocean City. The victim apparently positively identify Swartz as the suspect that was in her house.
Swartz was arrested, and charged with first, third, and fourth degree burglary, fourth degree burglary tools, rogue and vagabond, along with theft theft less than $100, and theft $100 less than $1,000. She was later ordered to be held on a $15,000 bond, by the District Court Commissioner.
