SU Women’s Lax Roll S. Virginia

The Salisbury University women’s lacrosse team picked up another win Saturday afternoon after defeating Southern Virginia 18-0. The win improves the Sea Gull to 7-1 on they year.
SU would grab the lead just over 5 minutes into the match after Kristen Murphy would find the back of the net off a free position score. The Gulls then began to open the game up after getting a pair of goals from Gabbi Nieves, Ariana Maxwell, Hannah Young and Martha Hutzell. The rout would soon be on after that as Stephen Decatur grad Sammi Quilter would come off a curl, and beat the keeper low to push her teams lead to 12-0 at the break. The Sea Gulls continued to score at will in the second half as Quilter would add 2 more to complete her hat trick.
Salisbury University returns to action on Wednesday when they host Franklin and Marshall.
